Pete Paphides is the owner of this page and writes the content of all the feature of this site. He does it because music has and always will be his first love. Music has been his trusted and solitary companion growing up. Being attuned to music and its different genres and subgenres, he became interested not only in the melodies, lyrics, and beats. His passion led him to thirst for more information regarding the artists. But his way of writing is not the typical articles published to feed the curiosity of the fans. He was able to combine creative writing with journalism thereby giving more background information and the feeling of being there with him in his interviews, reviews, footages, and mixes.
Aside from being a music writer, Pete is also a broadcaster. He also collects all sorts of records from years gone by. His work has been published in various magazines and websites such as The Guardian, The Times, Q, Melody Maker, Time Out, The Observer, Uncut, Mojo, and The Word. Throughout all these years of being a music journalist and critic, he was able to interview famous and controversial personalities in and outside the music industry such as the likes of Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Neil Diamond, Radiohead, Abba, Bee Gees, Nicolas Cage, Robert Downey, Jr., and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Pete’s documentary works were also featured on BBC Radio 4 and BBC 6 Music. He was also invited by musicians to write reviews for their albums. He is now working on an online radio show which features interviews with contemporary singers and renowned musicians. He continues to make documentaries and regularly writes for Mojo, Q, and the Guardian.
Pete now lives in North London with his family. Being a true music lover, it is common to see players and records all over their house. No doubt, his two daughters are the two most musically informed children on this side of the world.
